At Le Café des Chats you can do all of these things, which makes it just about the most perfect café in the world, because it is impossible to go wrong with a café full of cats! The concept of combining coffee and cat cuddles first kicked off in Japan, but according to the owner, what makes this Parisian one better is the food is better, which is possibly the most Parisian thing to say, ever.
Le Café des Chats houses between 10 and 15 cats at any time, all the ones of which I met were super friendly chilled out sleepy little cuddle machines. And they are all rescue kitty cats.
If you can tear your attention away from all the furry cuteness going on, there are lots of nice desserts like tarte aux framboise-pistache, green tea cheesecake and muffins, a substantial list of black, green and herbal teas, plus mains. Don’t forget to get your loyalty card stamped. And you’ll need to book.
